Know before you're fined

HOA fines can accrue daily, but the documents also give you rights most owners never learn. Real answers from our first community:

Can the HOA fine me without warning?
No. You're entitled to at least 10 days' written notice and a hearing, where you may bring a lawyer, before any fine. But each day a violation continues after notice counts as a new violation, so acting fast matters.
By-Laws §10.02 · Master Deed §10.05
I asked to renovate and the board never answered. Now what?
If the board doesn't respond to a written alteration request within 60 calendar days, the request is automatically approved. Always ask in writing and keep a copy.
Master Deed §10.02
Who pays when the roof leaks?
The Association maintains the roof, but the water damage to the finishes inside your unit is typically yours, which is exactly what your required HO-6 policy covers.
Master Deed §4.01, §7.02

How it works

Built for every owner, large text, plain words, no tech skills needed.

1 · We read the documents

The master deed, by-laws, and rules for your specific community, every page, every amendment.

2 · You ask in your own words

"Can I have a dog?" "Who shovels snow?" "What if I'm late on dues?" Type it the way you'd say it.

3 · You get the answer, cited

Plain English, with the exact section it comes from, so you can stand at a board meeting and point to it.

Simple pricing

Less than one hour of an attorney's time, for the whole year.
